日本の祭典２０２６インホノルル! Japan Folk Festival 2026 in Honolulu!
3月7日・土曜日、会場はハワイシアターセンター。
日本の伝統芸能、音楽、踊りが一堂に集結。入場料20ドルはすべて、劇場の保存支援として寄付されます。
The event will take place on Saturday, March 7, at the Hawai‘i Theatre Center.
Traditional Japanese performing arts, music, dance will come together in one place. All proceeds from the $20 admission fee will be donated to support the preservation of the theatre.

開催趣旨/Purpose of the event
来年はアメリカ建国250周年の節目の年です。日本人が初めてハワイへ移民したのは1868年、157年前のことで、日本人移民はアメリカの歴史の半分以上を共に歩んできました。
会場となるハワイシアターは、2022年に100周年を迎えた歴史と格式ある劇場で、かつてジャパンタウンと呼ばれたダウンタウン近くに位置しています。
今回のイベントでは、日本から特別なパフォーマーや出展者を招き、ステージパフォーマンスや展示を通して日本文化の美しさをお届けします。
この特別な場所で日本の文化・芸能・食をご紹介し、現地の方々や日系の皆さまに、懐かしい「心のふるさと」を感じていただける場にしたいと願っています。
礼儀、家族やコミュニティを大切にする心、自然への敬意、伝統と現代の調和など、日本とハワイが共有する価値観を感じながら、双方の理解と友情をさらに深める機会にしたいと考えています。
Next year marks the 250th anniversary of the United States. Japanese immigration to Hawai‘i began in 1868, 157 years ago, meaning Japanese immigrants have walked alongside more than half of America’s history.
Our venue, the historic Hawai‘i Theatre, celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2022 and is located near downtown Honolulu, once known as “Japantown.”
We will bring special performers and exhibitors from Japan to showcase the beauty of Japanese culture through stage performances, demonstrations, and displays.
In this special place, we hope to share Japanese culture, performing arts, and cuisine, offering both local residents and the Japanese American community a sense of nostalgia and connection to their spiritual homeland.
Values such as respect, strong family and community ties, reverence for nature, and the balance between tradition and modernity are shared by both Japan and Hawai‘i. Through this event, we aim to further deepen friendship and mutual understanding between our two cultures.
